Hi there! I'm a 27-year old game programmer from Luleå, proficient in C++ and with experience in graphics programming, tooling, and AI. Having previously aimed for a career in academia, I decided instead to follow my childhood dream of making games! Now I'm ready to take the next step, and I'm looking for an internship/LIA during the period August 2023 - April 2024.
I believe that pursuing one's passion is key. I love to learn, and I'm always looking expand my skill set, whether that be by further developing the skills I have or by learning new ones. At the same time, I want to be able to use what I've learnt in order to solve practical problems, something that laid the foundation for my decision to study game programming - besides my love for games, that is.
During my time so far as a student at The Game Assembly - a higher vocational education in game development - I've had the opportunity to use agile methodologies, work in cross-disciplinary teams, practice pair programming and code reviewing, solve challenging problems, and all the while having fun making games! I believe the teamwork-oriented mindset I've nurtured at TGA complements my previous education, and it's been a humbling experience to work alongside so many talented game developers.
Still, I'm proud to have completed two separate master's degrees in mathematics and statistics, with one of my theses being awarded the Mittag-Leffler Prize along with SMC's Prize for Excellent Master Thesis in Mathematics. My long-term goal is to bring my theoretical and practical skills together, and to leverage everything I've learnt in order to make the best games possible.
If you're interested in hearing more about me and what I can offer, please don't hesitate to contact me via phone, email or LinkedIn - I'd love to get in touch!
